Chickpeas are widely used and are the staple diet in northern Spain. Chickpeas are also a influential part of arabic cuisine, as a result are also highly evident in the region of Andulusia in southern Spain. This is a one-pot dish which can be eaten as a hearty lunch or combined with a meat dish as a filling evening meal.

(Chickpeas, chorizo sausage, bacon, onion, garlic, fresh parsley, tinned tomatoes, red wine, olive oil, salt and pepper to taste)
